There is also the National Indian Gaming Commission. These laws have limited the types of gambling that can be conducted on Native American land.

The US Supreme Court recently overturned a 1992 statute that prohibited all states from allowing online sports betting. The Supreme Court also cleared the way for legal sports betting in all 50 states. Some of these new laws have been criticized as having no legal basis. Other state legislators worry that the Internet will bring gambling into homes and businesses, thereby cannibalizing the brick and mortar casino industry.
